Set up your memorial plate

Follow these steps in order. Most people finish setup on their phone.

1. Step 1

   Scan the QR code on your plate

   Open your phone camera and point it at the QR code on the memorial plate. It opens in your browser. No app download.

2. Step 2

   Sign in or create an account

   You need an account to set up and edit a memorial. Use your email and a password, or continue with Google. If you already have an account, sign in with the same email.

3. Step 3

   Link the code to a memorial

   After you sign in, choose Create a new memorial to start fresh, or Link to an existing memorial if you already built one and want this plate to open it.

4. Step 4

   Finish the setup steps

   You will enter who the memorial is for, their name and dates, a profile photo, and a short story. You can keep the story brief and add more later.

5. Step 5

   Turn on Edit Mode to add content

   Tap the pencil icon in the top right corner of the memorial page. That turns on Edit Mode. Use the Gallery tab to upload photos and videos. Use the About tab for the biography and life timeline. Tap the pencil again when you are done.

6. Step 6

   Peel and place the plate

   When you are ready, peel the adhesive backing and press the plate onto a clean, dry surface. Press firmly for about 30 seconds. Check cemetery or property rules before attaching if that applies to you.

7. Step 7

   Visitors scan to view

   When someone scans the plate, their phone opens the memorial page you built. They do not need an account to view it. They can leave a tribute from the Tributes tab.
