1. Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how FRITZSCH HOLDINGS, LLC, which operates Beyond This Stone ("Beyond This Stone," "we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, and shares information when you use our website at beyondthisstone.com, our app at app.beyondthisstone.com, and our storefront (the "Service").
We built this Service to help families remember people they have lost. We treat the information you share with care.
2. Information we collect
Account information. When you sign up, we collect your name, email address, and a password, or the basic profile details from your Google sign-in if you use that option.
Purchase information. When you buy something, our payment processors collect and process your payment details. We do not store full card numbers. We receive limited order information such as what you bought, the amount, and shipping details for physical items.
Content you add. This includes photos, videos, biographies, timeline events, tributes, music links, and any other material you or your invited editors add to a memorial. It may include information about the person the memorial honors and about other people who appear in photos or videos.
Usage and device information. When you use the Service, we may automatically collect information such as your device type, browser, general location, pages viewed, and how you interact with the Service.
Communications. If you contact us, we keep a record of that so we can help you.
3. How we use information
We use information to:
- Create and manage your account.
- Process orders and deliver products and features.
- Host and display memorial pages to the people you allow to see them.
- Send service messages, such as order updates and tribute notifications.
- Provide support and respond to your requests.

4. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information for money.
We share information with service providers who help us run the Service. These providers act on our behalf and only use the information as needed to provide their service. They include:
- Our storefront and physical order provider (Shopify).
- Our payment processor for digital purchases (Stripe).
- Our hosting, database, and file storage provider (Google Firebase and Firestore), where account data, memorial content, and uploaded photos and videos are stored.
- Our web hosting and privacy-friendly analytics provider (Vercel).
- Our error and performance monitoring provider (Sentry).
- Our AI image provider (Google GenAI), which processes photos you submit to AI features.
- Our email provider (Resend), used to send service messages and notifications.
We may also share information when the law requires it, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or in connection with a merger, sale, or other business transfer. If that happens, we will let you know.
5. AI features and your photos
When you use an AI feature, the photo you submit is sent to our AI provider so it can generate the requested image. We use this only to create the content you asked for. Please do not submit photos you do not have the right to use.
6. Cookies and analytics
We use cookies and similar tools to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and understand how the Service is used.
For analytics we use a privacy-friendly, cookieless product (Vercel Analytics) that helps us measure page views and general usage without building advertising profiles about you. We do not currently load advertising pixels or share your information with advertising networks for targeted advertising.
You can adjust cookie and tracking settings in your browser. Some features may not work well if you turn off certain cookies.
7. How long we keep information
We keep information for as long as your account is active and as long as needed to provide the Service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it. Backups may persist for a limited time after deletion.
8. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Ask what personal information we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct or delete it.
- Ask us to stop certain uses or sharing.
- Opt out of marketing messages.
To make a request, contact us at support@beyondthisstone.com. We may need to verify your identity first. We will respond as required by the law that applies to you. We will not treat you unfairly for exercising these rights.
9. Content about people who have died and about third parties
Memorials often include information about people who have died and photos that include living people. If you create or edit a memorial, you are responsible for having the right to share that content. If you appear in content on a memorial and want it addressed, contact us at support@beyondthisstone.com and we will review the request.
10. Security
We use reasonable measures to protect your information. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.
11. Children
The Service is not for children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Where we operate
We operate the Service from the United States and currently serve customers in the United States. If you access the Service from elsewhere, you understand your information will be processed in the United States.
